We finally got out of Sandpoint at noon on Friday. We went to Mead and picked up the car which is now following the Dolphin. We made a short stop for a last visit with Dan and Jen and get some big hugs and kisses from Maiya who tried to take a test drive in the Dolphin. We made it to Pasco Friday night and stayed at King truck stop - boy was the wind COLD. Lucky the furnace is working great. We headed to Oregon Saturday but had to pull over at Boardman because of high wind gusts. We had lunch, took a nap and was back on the road by 4:00. We stopped for the night in the Dalles and are camped in a closed Big Lot store lot, much quietier than last night. If the wind doesn't kick up tomorrow we should make Salem before dark.
The coach is traveling well and we are getting used to where I "stuck" everything. Dix is relearning his co-pilot routine and has been real good about not being a back seat driver - even when the wind shook us all over the road. Rascal is also remembering the routine and really enjoys discovering every smell at each stop.
