We stayed an overnight in Rockhampton to break up the journey to Airlie Beach, we've had our fill of overnights trips now for a while!  Just to fill in the time today before we catch the bus this evening, we went to a crocodile farm.  It was great to see the big crocs being fed, the guide was a bit mad and got very close to the big predators.  We found out lots of really interesting stuff about these prehistoric beasts, like they can stem the flow of blood to an injury and have a serum to heal it once it has stopped bleeding.  Scientists are actually looking into the use of this serum in the treatment of HIV.  Anyhow, enough of the science bit....it was really cool to hold the baby croc at the end, mouth strapped of course!

This far north of Queensland is very tropical, all much more lush and green than Victoria and NSW.  This morning I was accompanied by a very tropical green frog in the shower!
