We have spent the last few days chilling in Copan.  Its a lovely wee town, all cobbled streets and great places to eat.  Theres a great atmosphere around on the build up to Christmas, lots of fireworks (although I think they are a regular occurance!) and street parties, of which we participated a bit too much in last night!  The town is 10 minutes away from the Copan ruins, an ancient Mayan site.  We did a tour of it with a very quirky tour guide who has his name in many books, including the Guinness book of Records, and likes to tell u all about it!  Counts himself as quite a movie star!  The ruins gave a great insight into a lost civilisation, they will be the first of many sites on our route!

We move on 2moro to our Christmas destination...
