We are now in Leon, the second biggest city in Nicaragua.  It used to be the capital but Managua has taken over the role.  We came up from Granada on Monday after spending a night there in a pretty shitty hostel (La Libertad if the reviewers are listening!).  Granada itself was lovely though with nice old colonial buildings and nice places to eat.  We also got an invite from the church cleaner to join him for the bell ringing at 12 noon.  The bus from Rivas to Granda was crazy as ever with the music pumping for the full hour and a half-check out the video (hope u can get the sound!). 

Leon is not as pretty as Granada but a busy town with lots of atmosphere.  Our accommodation is much nicer here too so we can chill out on the hammocks and in the pool b4 the long trek into Honduras 2moro...

PS: if ur interested, we´ve managed to put the tarantula video up.  Its on the Amazon entry.  It goes on a bit but stick with it until the end for the creepy disappearing act!
