We arrived into Nicaragua yesterday...and got on to our crazy bus in the middle of a market so that everyone came on to sell their wares, followed by a mental cram getting off the bus as over eager Nicaraguans got off and on!  The crazy start soon calmed down when we reached our destination, Isle de Ometepe.  Its a beautiful island in the Nicaragua lake which is made up of two volcanoes.  The island is so tranquil, particularly where we are staying.  A couple of buses running to each little hamlet.  Its very untouristy too...theres plenty of places to stay and a few backpackers around, but it just doesnīt feel like its changed the island at all.  We didnīt quite make it to the top of the volcano today, we went to a waterfall instead which is part of the way up.  The buses are just so easy going that by the time we got there it wouldnīt have been worth it!  Its dark by 530ish too!  The waterfall was lovely though, a refreshing end to a tiring walk!
