So today's schedule was a trip to Zermatt, Valais, Switzerland for a trip to Europe's 4th highest mountain, the Matterhorn. After breakfast in Crans-Montana, we boarded the coaches to go to the German speaking part of Switzerland. After a good trip across the country with some amazing views, we then boarded a funiculaire in Tasch, then to Zermatt, then up to the Sunnegga Overlook for one great view of the Matterhorn. After our pictures with the mountain in the background and with St. Bernards, my friends and I bought food at a grocery store to eat up on the mountain. Great food, great fellowship, and great views all at once. After that, we went back down to Zermatt and toured the town, went shopping, bought some chocolate and looked at the views even more. Zermatt is big on tourism, but still maintains the charm of an Alpine village. After we saw most of the town, we made our way back down to Tasch and back to the coaches for our return trip to Crans-Montana. We then had some free time before our "fondue party". We all had cheese fondue with Swiss dancing and music as well. A good end to my time in Switzerland. Another travel day to Austria tomorrow
