Today was another great day in London! After breakfast, I went to Wesley's Chapel to see John Wesley's grave and the church he started, then on to Victoria Embankment for lunch. Once there, I walked down Victoria Embankment street along the Thames to the Houses of Parliament and Parliament Square. I then walked across the Westminster Bridge to go up the London Eye and see Boadicea. The Eye provides great views of the whole city of London. Buckingham Palace can be picked out in between Green and Hyde Parks up on the Eye. After that, I then walked to Westminster Abbey to tour the place and stay for Evensong. The whole church is jaw dropping. It's been the coronation church in England since 1066 and the home of many royal weddings. You have to watch where you walk because your head will be looking at the ceiling the whole time. The service at Evensong is a must too. After that, I walked to Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus. Trafalgar Square is a great place to rest while doing all your walking in London and a great picture opportunity. After spending a few minutes there, I made my way to Piccadilly Circus, took a picture of Eros, ate dinner, and did some souvenir shopping. I thought Piccadilly was going to have a lot more neon than what it did, like Times Square, but it really doesn't. After a good hour and a half, I took a taxi back to the hotel.Left aligned photo tag:
