Tonight is the Full Moon PArty in Kendwa. The night has finally arrived. There are more people around than the previous days but it isn't as packed as I expected. This definitely won't compete with the famous Full Moon Party in Thailand.

When I woke up, I did my stretching exercises. I can already touch my toes without bending my knees. It was easier than expected. I have now changed my goal to being able to put the palm of my hand flat on the ground without bending my knees. I know I have never been able to do that before.

I spent most of the day reading my Che Guevara book on the beach while listening to the air head teenage girls sun tanning behind me. They all talked about who was going to hok up within their group before the end of the trip. My Che Guevara book couldn't compete with that.

I actuallly enjoyed sitting on the beach today. I normally don't like just sitting around and not doing anything but I think the beach life is rubbing off on me. I was planning on going back to the mainland tomorrow but I may actually stay an extra day.

Later in the afternoon, I ran into the Irish couple - Chris and Allison. We made plans to meet at 9 pm. Their responsibility was to bring the home made Mozambique rum (called Tipo Tinto) while my responsibility was to bring the mixers (i.e. coca cola).

For supper, I went into the village again and ate at the same "restaurant" as the previous night. An older English woman and a young Tanzanian tenager sat next to me. We chatted a bit. I found it strange that they were together. I didn't ask any questions. It just seemed a bit dodgy.

After supper, I went down to the beach to meet Allison and Chris. I had the coca cola while they had the Tipo Tinto. The drinking began. This was going to be my first true night of drinking. It took 62 days into my trip to get here but I finally made it. Since the night was still young and the party wasn't going to really get going until midnight, we went next door to another guesthouse to watch the Holland - Russia game. There were lots of people watching the game so it was fun. Poor Chris was battling some unfortunate stomach issues so I went back to my room so I could get him some Immodium. It was the least I can do considering he hooked everyone up with this very potent Mozambique rum. hris felt like a new man after I "hooked" him up.

After the game, we headed for the party. The details are sketchy. I don't remember much. I know I hung out with Allison and Chris for most of the night. Other parts of the night I yapped with other people I met during the previous days on the beach. I may have danced a bit too. Not too sure of that. I do remember being really surprised when I looked at my watch and it was 5 am. That's when I decided to call it a night. I said good bye to Chris and Allison and went back to my bed to crash. But before I crashed, I was convinced by CHris and Allison to stay one more day. We would go to another part of the island (Nungwe) and just hang out for a day and then watch the Italy - Spain game together. I was good with that.
