Where I stayed
We awoke to see the town still draped in a veil of snow. We took to the cobbled streets and before we knew it we had nearly ended up on our arses several times. The snow kept up all day.
We headed up to the castle to see if we could see the bears that are caged in the moat. But we only saw their footprints, as it was even to cold for them. We headed inside to explore the castle grounds and surrounding area. The view from up there is amazing.
We took the long way back into town and found ourselves following the river
Later that night, us and most of the guys from the hostel headed out for dinner. The first three places we went were either closed or closing. It was only 9pm on a Sunday night, but it was -10C and the streets were deserted. Finally on our fourth attempt we managed to get in. The waiter said if we ordered quickly we could even have some food. We both ordered the Goulash. A rich beef stew in a thick paprika sauce, served with some bread dumplings (basically just dense bread). It was very very tasty and went well with a couple of beers.
We love Cesky Krumlov and everything that goes with it.
Back to Prague. Again.
