Where I stayed
As soon as we awoke in the morning we discovered the blanket of snow over Prague and that it was still falling. We made our way very carefully through the slippery white stuff too just around the corner and the main bus station. We had checked yesterday what time and left ourselves 30mins for 'just in case.'
Well I say we just checked the TIME. You see we didn't check which station. Why would you look at that? Don't you just assume? Main Station. Well it turns out that the bus left from a station a couple of stops down on the metro (Andel). We were advised to by the tickets now. But we didn't know if we would actually make our bus, so we decided to by them when we got to the station. Thank God for 'just in case.' Mind you we did make it and with 10 minutes to spare, (Okay this was after we nearly got lost on the Metro, but hey, you know these things happen) only to find out the the bus was basically full
We were rudely advised we would have to wait 2 hours for the next bus.
We weighed up our options. Find a train, look into other buses or naturally wait in the snow for 2 hours. We chose the most obvious approach. We secured our 1pm tickets and hunkered down next to our packs, just willing the minutes to pass.
By the time our bus arrived we were nearly frozen. Now before you ask, Why we stood there and didn't found somewhere warm? Was that between our luggage and the fact that there wasn't actually anything near by. We really didn't have much or a choice.
After a 3 hour bus ride we finally made it to a beautiful, dusted in white, little Cesky Krumlov.
