After our last three days of driving in a car we had a relaxing day in Gangtok. At 09:30 we were at the main pedestrian area, where most shops and the Sikkim Tourist Offide did not open until 10:00.

In the following 90 minutes we managed to book our whole programme for nearly a week. It started with booking the flight from Bagdogra near Siliguri to Calcutta on 16 February. The Lutheran World Federation director there wants Chris to speak to the staff and he wants to have dinner with him.
Next was organising a tour until 16 February in Sikkim with an efficient lady from Blue Sky Tours.

Tomorrow we go on a five-day tour of monasteries, a park and a lake around Rarangla, Yuksum and Pelling. In the afternoon we saw the Lingdum Monastry in Rangka village, a new monastry, which has some 500 monks, from Nepal, Tibet and China. As always the atmosphere in
this Buddist monastry was solemn and at the same time joyful. Next our driver took us to Bandjakhri waterfalls. The last stupa near our hotel we visited at 17:00 when many people went
around to turn the prayer wheels for a happy and healthy life.
