From UB we drove 7 hours in land on a 4 x 4 off road to the bayan gobi desert to stay with our host family in a ger camp.  The tents are really pretty inside with plenty of space not what I expected.  It is surrounded by the most amazing scenery and vast empty space,  I fell totally inlove with this place, so much so i didnt even mind the hole in the ground surrounded by flies for a toilet.

Here we watched our host break in horses (il try to upload a video) and ride them bare back . . V entertaining excellent to watch.  We helped make fermented mares milk ( and drink it although it is pretty nasty think of vodka and milk). We also learned how to make traditional dumplings.  We went camel trekking in the desert which was good fun and just chilled out with the family.

For example one night the boys were out playing some weird drinking game with our host family and our crazy driver.  John ended up drinking a good feed of fermented mares milk.  Me and Tina sneaked out feeling all left out, and joined in but then we started drinking small bowls of vodka straight and having a wee sing song.  Well they were singing to us mainly but i did play a wee tune on the tin whistle.  It was a nice night although we couldnt really speak to each other unless bebe was around to translate we had good old chats anyways.

All in all I loved it here!!!!  I would love to come back here some day!!!!
