We got back to Alicante and were happy to be back. We enjoyed a little more time on the beach relaxing and soaking in the sun. One of our last days in Alicante we wandered into the city itself and climbed up to the castle. Santa Barbara Castle in Alicante had beautiful views yet it would have been nice if we had found this illusive elevator that took you to the top. Instead we climbed many steps and hills to reach the top and look out over the city. We had not eaten much or planed for the hike so needless to say we where less then thrilled. Yet the views made us feel better, and we got some beautiful photos. After we walked back down and along the harbor admiring its beauty and saying goodbye to Spain. We took an early flight back to London the next morning.
