. It was interesting to note also that to distract enemy planes from bombing the sight in WWII soldiers would through grenades off the roof of Saint Paul's to make it appear that it was already burning. That day we also checked out Portobello Market and walked down the streets just viewing the items for sale. On Thursday my parents and I headed over to the Sherlock Holmes Museum and learned about the heroic British Detective who won the hearts of many the world over. In there we learned about his cases, my favorite display where letters that people had written to Sherlock Holmes asking for assistance in personal matters. On Thursday night my parents and I along with Elaine went and saw Avenue Q. I was really funny yet I did not find it to be very memorable. My last day with my parents was spent at Elaine's simply relaxing and enjoying each others company. It was so wonderful to have them come to visit. I really love being here but I miss my parents and friends too. I love my family and I am very excited that my Grandparents will be coming somewhat soon and I will get to spend some time with them.
Love to my friends and family <3
This week my Mom and Dad came to visit me. The first night I saw them on Sunday we went to go see a show. We saw the Classical Spectacular at the Royal Albert Hall. It was a lot of fun and very British. They played the British National Anthem at the end and everyone waved flags and sang along. There where even cannons that went off it was really cool. The next day I meet my parents after class and we went to the British Library. It was really interesting. They had a bunch of original copies of books and music on display. I got to see things like the original copy of Alice and Wonderland and scrapes of paper that The Beatles had written lyrics on it was really awesome. On Tuesday my parents came with me to St. Paul's Cathedral on one of my class field trips. It was such a beautiful building and we walked around learning about Sr. Walter Wrens design of it. The building was magnificent. Dad and I even climbed to the top and took in a view of the city from up there. It was spectacular and a beautiful site, I felt like I could almost see all of London from up there
