Hi all, I don´t have much time, but wanted to update everyone on my happenings.
Most importantly, yes, we had an earthquake here Wednesday. Luckily it was very deep so there was no damage. I actually didn´t even know it had happened because I was on the bus going to teach. I found out about it later that night and it is a little bit scary because we had a couple tremors last week. I would rather not experience an earthquake while I am here!
Earlier this week I was feeling very frustrated and my brain was on overload with everything. Luckily my Spanish teacher didn´t give me much homework Wednesday and I got to go out with some friends here to see a Salsa dance class. I didn´t dance but watched this time. Next time I will embarass myself again and try to figure out the rhythm. I learned that all work and no play makes life not fun. So after some free time I was refreshed and the rest of this week has been great. I got some game ideas and resources from a friend here who is also teaching English so I look forward to sharing those with my students. I appreciate all the song suggestions everyone sent me.
Well I gotta run we are having a dinner at the Spanish school soon. This weekend I am going to Lake Atitlan through my Spanish school. It is supposed to be one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. I´ll have to let you know when I get back Sunday.
Happy Father´s Day to all you fathers out there, especially my own Dad, Steve.
