tall, making it 4 ½ inches taller than the Statue of Liberty and, even though it looks like the Washington Monument, it’s actually 40 years older. We rode up in an elevator, 8 people at a
time, to see out the windows where you can see the valleys and rolling hills of Vermont, New York, and Massachusetts. Picture all those hills covered with colored trees and you can imagine
what we saw. We also stopped at a beautiful church and saw Robert Frost’s grave in the graveyard near the church. There were many revolutionary soldiers buried there. After shopping at the gift shop we loaded the bus and headed to the Bennington Museum Galleries, where we saw Grandma Moses’ artwork and artifacts
