Where I stayed
Aunt Suzanne and Uncle Andrew's

Hello all,

I have officially travelled across the "pond".  I arrived this morning at 5 am and I am getting very exhausted.   I have forced myself to stay up all day and it is now 10pm so I will be heading to bed soon.

Today Aunt Suzanne and I wandered around downtown Glasgow and booked a train ticket for my next stop.  The train station is unlike anything in Canada.  It's almost like an airport, except the building is very old and all of the shops are original.  I have now officially had to pay to us the washroom (or toilet as it is referred to here).  £0.30 :)  at least this one didn't require paying for the toilet paper too!!

Aunt Suzanne has some plans for us this week.  We are heading to Stirling Castle tomorrow.  I will post pictures when I have a few more.

Just wanted to let you know that I am here safe and sound and exhausted!

Glad you made it!
Sorry I couldn't call you the other night before you left. My family took over and they stay up waaaayyy to late. By the time I had a chance you call you it was 1:00am and I didn't think you'd want me to call then.

I'm happy you're safe. Happy traveling!!

Hey Deb!!
Glad to hear you made it safe and sound!! Can't wait to hear more and see some picture. By the way that is hilarious having to pay to use the washroom.

Jim was asking about you this afternoon - so I will have to get him to check your blog!! That should be interesting!

Enjoy the trip and don't forget to come back!

Hi Girls,

I am having a great time!! I'm heading to London tomorrow to go see the sites! The Queen was in Edinburgh when I was there but I didn't get to see her; we were just stuck in the traffic jam caused by her leaving the palace.

Hope you summer is going well

Exploring Begins
Hi Deborah
Thank you for all the effort you went to trying to find the Lilliput Lane
Sounds like you are catching on to how to get around
we are glad you had some time with yor cousins as well as mine
i went back to work on July 9 but am not doing a heck of a lot because of restrictions put on me by the doctor
Uncle Ted should be back soon
you should see the alium that we grew from bulbs Dad got in Ont last fall
It is the same flower as Christie had in her wedding - they are huge
We are off to a wedding reception in a few minutes
The wedding was at the potato farm
Sounds interesting but was actually quite nice
The ceremony was under a big tent like Christie had and the reception is in Spruce Grove
How are you enjoying the history great eh
Keep us posted on all you adventures especially Paris
Take Care love Mom

Travels
Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living.
Miriam Beard

I hope this quote inspires some spontaneous adventures on your trip. Hope you're having fun, we are missing you.
