OMG New York is sooooo cold. After the longest Saturday in our lives (starting at 6 am and going on and on and on flying through the time zones) with a stopover in San Francisco, which is a perfectly nice airport, we arrived at Newark airport at around 9 pm local time. We took a taxi to our hotel. Although it was already quite late the hostel was still very busy and we had to wait for quite some time before we were checked in. Not a problem we are on holiday and in relax mode. It snowed when we arrived and New york is full of Christmas lights! We had a quick bite to eat and off to bed. This is a hostel so we are sleeping in bunk beds , very romantic LOL.
Today was our first full day in the Big Apple. We started off with a breakfast in a old fashion diner and a bus and subway ride to the metropolitan museum of art. Man; what a buidling. Once in there we had to make some choices, you can't just walk through it. They have loads of Egytian artefacts, they must have robbed that country blind over the centuries. Beautiful to see. The halls full of European art were also very impressing.

After this cultural outing we decided to move south towards Rockefeller Center. We saw the skate rink, the huge Xmas tree and all the fairy lights. We strolled around in the tower and had a browse in the NBC store. After that walked further south. It was starting to get dark and Elisah wanted to see all the lights on Times Square. We weren't dissapointed. Even the big flashing billboards have their charm, I kid you not. We did some cool shopping in that area, god, I love New York. We had a drink in the Hard Rock Cafe. As we had snacked during the day nobody was really hungry. We came accross some ticket salesmen on the streets. We bought tickets for Dangerfields comedy club. A whole night full of stand up comedy. We sat first row. You must know the set up. Little tables, small light on them and waiters bringing drinks and food while the comedy went non stop. There was not one dissapointment in that show. We laughed our heads off. It was excellent. Anyway, it's far past midnight, Elisah wants to bebo some people and we should go to bed. It's not so easy to get into the right time zone at this stage. O and did I mention it was cold?  Around 0 degrees celsius, cold, very very cold. Talk soon!!!

After all that culture
