What I did
We toured the city
As soon as we started our excursion into the city, the rain stopped and we had a nice, sunny warm day the rest of the day.
Amsterdam is unique, I am not sure, if you can see in any other city, so much history and old buildings which date back over many centuries.
We also did the roundtrip glasstopped boattour trough the canals, they really give you a look at this amazing city.
Saturday we had a enjoyable day, our first day were we did not venture out, but entertained a visit by Ron and Monique, Jorrit and Wessel at our place on the Veluwe
This time of the year that is what you see around here, lots of people on pushbikes, young and old!
The temperature yesterday got up to nearly 30 c. and the forecast is for a nice summer. I think we will all get back to Oz. with a suntan.! We spend most of the day with friends walking, and had lunch on the boulevard, in a small town called Harderwijk, a old historic fishing village.
This morning we are dropping Ben at the rail in Amersfoort,he is going with the train to Schiphol where he is catching a plane to Manchester in England for a few days, to visit some friends, hope they chill his beer!! He will enjoy that, we are sure.
Keep in touch!
