Ciao! it's Devon
Just a quick update as we continue our gelato tour of Italy =)
We left the commotion of Naples for the small island of Ischia (and by small I mean you can pretty much travel around the island in an hour by bus). We explored a lot of the small towns, walked along the beaches, and ran into hoards of German tourists at every turn. Apparently Ischia is the vacation destination for Germany. And while our hostel may have let us down in the pool department (note to hostels: don't advertise pool facilites if can't deliver), they more than made up for it in the food and drink department. Our first night there the owner cooked us a free pasta dinner, and the second the staff bought us a bottle of wine. Now that's service.
From Ischia we took a ferry to Capri where we spent our day counting all the pictures of Mariah Carey in the store windows
Anyways after Capri we headed to the Amalfi coast where we stayed in the village of Atrani. We took a day trip to Pompei, and we hiked the Path of the Gods - a 3 hr hike from the small village of Bomerano to Positano. We made the trek with new friends Matt and Frederik, on break from studying in Lyon, who I think we surprised a bit with our dedication to tanning. Immediately upon finishing the hike, we whipped out our sheet and spotted up on the Positano beach. Needless to say, we're pretty excited about finally hitting good weather.
Stay tuned for Sicilian adventures!

Ischia
. It's true what they say about celebs loving the island of Capri...and it's easy to see why with its beautiful white hotels and shops, and sweet smell of lilacs. Wow I have been reading way too many travel books.Anyways after Capri we headed to the Amalfi coast where we stayed in the village of Atrani.
