Our Door Lacking A Door Knob.
We got up this morning once again with high hopes and picked up some bus passes and headed downtown. We arranged with the landlord to leave our bags at the guest house again and made our way downtown. We had some time to kill as our meeting was at noon so we visited a cafe and played some monopoly on my laptop for a while then headed to the office. Our Kitchen
After so many bumps in the road we finally got our keys. We returned to the letting agency and they had the paperwork and we began signing our life away. Finally we had our keys in our hands and made our way back to the guest house to get our bags. We took the buss downtown and back but opted to get a taxi to take our stuff directly to our new place as we didn't feel like dealing with getting on and off bus's with that much stuff. We called a company and they meet us at the guest house and we finally parted ways with our temporary home for the past 11 days. Master Bedroom (Scott and Aimee)
After lugging our entire luggage up the three flights of stairs we did a once over of our place and headed out to get the essentials. While the place was furnished this did not include kitchen or bedding things so we walked about 15 minutes to the closest mall. We found a store like Wal-Mart and began to buy everything we need. We got cups, plates, frying pans, utensils, bedding, and other main items. It was a lot to carry but we didn't know the bus routes around here so we took another long trek walking with all our new found toys back to our place. We were unable to get everything in one trip so we had to return to our place and unload and then head back to get the last of it. We got everything we needed except for pillows and blankets but the stores were already closing so we were going to have to make due for one night without them. Being backpackers this didn't bother us much and we just used sweaters as pillows and unrolled our sleeping bags as temporary bedding. We organized our place the best we could but left unpacking our bags till later. We were getting very hungry and tired so we headed downtown to get a decent meal as a celebration. The Living Room
The Other Couch
We ended up going to an Italian restaurant and had a wonderful meal which I'll just put in the food section. Returning to our place we were exhausted and tired but wanted to unpack as we had been looking forward to this day for so long so we went to work. We got everything squared away and then just went to bed as it was already near midnight. Tomorrow's agenda includes getting the rest of our bedding and some groceries then spending most of the day doing laundry and cleaning as they didn't do a very good job when we moved in. I also need to open a bank account and get a credit card but require a printer to print off proof of address in Canada so will probably do that tomorrow or the next day as I will require a cafe with a printer. We also need to get our cable and internet hooked up and figure out these bus routes around our area. So another big day but were just going to do as much as we can and leave the rest for the next day if required.

Moving Day
Sounds like you got a really nice place. What a circus so far! Glad to hear that you're finally in and starting to get settled.
Re: Moving Day
We were talking to a local today and he said he was in America for a while then came back and had as much fun as us trying to get setup again. A customer in the store laughed and agreed with him too so it's not just us that think all these red tapes are stupid.
