First thing in the morning we headed down to Daniels office and began to fill out the forms. Holding deposit paid and sheets signed the day we had longed for had finally arrived. When we stepped out of the office it was official, we had our home and we would be in it by Saturday. All the stress's and worries of being homeless were finally melting away and when thinking back on it from start to finish from when we landed till Saturday when we take possession it was only 9 days. Not bad at all for landing with nothing, finding a place, view it, locking it down, and taking possession. Granted it felt like a month as the days were long and stressful but we finally had succeeded and the place was amazing. We didn't have to settle and are ecstatic about moving in as we love it, love the area, and can finally put our feet down.
Having finally secured a residence and having to start recycling our clothes as we had only brought 4 days with us while we looked for a place to live, and were now on the 5th day. The rest of our stuff was still in Watford so we headed to the train station. We needed to go get the rest of our bags and bring them to Oxford and having secured a place to move into on Saturday and told the Guest house we would be here till Saturday and they were fine with it we made the long trek back to the rest of our life. Having traveled the train system once already we at least had a way better idea of what was going on and went to get our tickets. After telling them what we need he asked for £51 for all three of us to Watford and return same day. Considering we paid £82 just to get from Watford to Oxford one way we were very confused. We found out that if you travel during peak hours (4pm-8pm) that it's almost three times the price. Good to know. So having expected to pay £160 to get our stuff and get back we finally had our second set of good news for the day.
It was raining all morning but forecast called for clearing in the afternoon. We were dreading the trip but at least we were able to leave are stuff in the guest house so we didn't have to transport everything. Right after we got our bags the rain stopped and we got back on the train to head back to Oxford. We almost missed our one stop and had to run and pretty much throw our bags off the train just to get out in time as they only stop for a whole 30 seconds at each stop. But we got off and jumped on the next train and ended up back in Paddington. While there our guard was on high alert and we stood in a tight circle watching everyone else's backs for fear of getting robbed. But we survived and without losing anything and made it back to Oxford.
Right after we got our stuff inside the guest house it started to rain again and we couldn't believe how well we timed that trip. Having recovered my HDMI cable that we left in Watford we hooked my laptop up to the TV and just watched a movie and went to bed as we were exhausted by our long journey with all our luggage again.
