Went into Bucharest, there isn't anything worth taking photos of, just people walking round with a scowl on their faces, even the shops didn’t look happy

I think the local past time is fly tipping, there are piles of junk, rubble, bin bags everywhere, I spent 20 minutes watching a bloke breaking off ree bar from concrete blocks and stuffing it in his van (I think it’s a practice when he gets to the UK)

It’s a really depressing place, no colours, just shades of gray, I don’t think I saw2 anyone smile, even the waitress who got me a coffee never smiled, I guess they haven’t got used to the red army having left

Everywhere in it seems they live off the land, there are miles upon miles of open, ploughed land, they must grow a lot because it’s always raining here, there are villages miles apart from each other but they all look the same, a yard with a few chickens and the rest of it full of junk, even the campsite had 3 legged chairs, broken furniture, and rusty iron out side, just rotting away, okay the toilets and showers were clean (ish) the water was hot, but it just had that run down , tired look to it

Adam (the driver ) decided he was going to treat us all to an Indian meal, he would do the cooking, all we had to was prepare it, it did turn out really nice, it wasn’t as hot or spicy as some expected, I enjoyed it, but not the washing up (the cook groups prepare, cook and wash up, in turn, it’s not so bad)

I’ll be glad to get clear of Europe and these ex communist countries (they arent prepared for tourists yet, but I daresay other may find it different) the people are really glum, don’t smile too often

Oh, well Bulgaria in the morning
