It was a quick breakfast and I didn’t bother, I made use of the hot showers for the last time
This camp site had everything, really hot showers, PowerPoint hook-up, even satellite TV if you wanted it
Everyone on the truck didn’t seem to have seen very much in Vienna, I guess due to the awful weather, so I don’t think I missed anything, it certainly wouldn’t have been worth taking photos
So it was off over the border to Hungary now, had to drop off and sort out the road tax thing and change money over, (I dunno how much I’m going to spend here, but things are a lot cheaper than any place we have been to so far, a beer for less than a quid (£), they did an evening meal shop while I wandered off in search of a coffeJ
We have arrived at an old tram garage made up to be a camp site, they got old trams made up to sell food and beer (I tried the local dish, Hungarian goulash) I weren’t impressed, meat seemed to have taken a day off from it, but carrots featured highly, but still for £2 what do you expect ?
Most people let their tents dry off and had the local dish and a beer, I just put up the inner and hung the outer on a tree
We are in a valley, which in my view isn’t a good place, the mist we be back in the morning, so it will be wet tents all round (my tent aint big, but it’s warm(ish) and the inner don’t leak, (unlike some other poor buggers, they woke up in puddles)
Tomorrow it’s a quick look round Budapest to see what it has to offer (be nice if we had a little longer in some of the European cities, but we have a schedule and Europe doesn’t feature too high)
we are at the bottom of a hill (mountain) so I took a walk up, not much to see at the top, trees got in the way, not too hard going up, but I got the cable down
Not much point going into town this evening, I dunno how far it is or what buses to get, so I guess tomorrow will do
