Hello Everyone,

I hope ye are all keeping up with our Blog :-) We left Paraty on Sunday and arrived in Foz do Iguassu on Monday, after taking two bus journeys which took 21 hours in total. But it was all worth it!!
The Iguazu falls are AMAZING!!! No photo that we took can do these monsters any justice!
After checking into our hotel, we headed out to view the Brazilian side of the falls. The falls are on the border of Argentina and Brazil and so see them properly you must visit both sides.
The Brazilian side gives a good overview and the Argentinian side gives you a closer look.
The waterfalls are actually over 200 waterfalls that all combine to give a thunderous roar as millions of tonnes of water fall over 80 meters into the ravine.

On Tuesday we crossed over to the Argentinian side and spent the day there. We thought the Argentinian side was more impressive and the national park was nicer.  We got carried away with the photographs as you can see!
We spent the entire day wandering around admiring the views. We saw loads of crazy coloured butterfly's - yellow, blue, orange and pink and coatis. The coatis were like a cross between big rats and racoons. They are very brazen and had no fear of humans. We kept well out of there way because there was a sign saying that although the coatis may look innocent, they can and WILL bite.

We did a nice trek through the national park and then headed back to the hotel.
The hotel had an all you can eat buffet so no need to say where we spent the rest of the evening!

We left Iguassu yesterday evening and took an overnight bus to Florianopolis. We met an American girl in the hostel in Paraty who recommended it. She went to Florianopolis for 2 nights and ended up staying for 2 weeks so from that we said we would check it out!

Will let ye know how it is in the next installment....

Till then, take care and keep in touch!

Watch them coatis
I heard them coatis are rife in Florianopolis. They're attracted by the smell of stale alcohol and creep into people's beds in the middle of the night. Totally harmless unless they're disturbed, then.... CHOMP!!
