Well after all the talking after an 8 hour flight we finally got here at 1am local time last night.
The taxi driver from the airport who picked us up was driving like a lunatic but then again so was everyone else. We nearly killed 2 people and missed a lorry but about 2 inches. His wing mirror was turned inwards so he could squeeze through smaller gaps !
The room we got was fine even if the mattresses were about 2 inches thick (and no top sheet). The night passed slowly but lots of song outside the window not to mention jackhammers, shouting, horns blowing all night and various random 'crashing' events - what a fun night.
Had to ring room service this morning to say we got locked in our room - the bloody key would not work - how embarassing is that ?!
We've leaving Delhi on Sunday to explore the local area for a couple of weeks with our own personal chauffeur (!!!) before heading down towards Goa and Bombay after that.
Off now for some local brunch which is vegatable korma, chickpea korma, some rice and bread...mmmm
