As stated last weekend, this is essentially a sailing blog so time spent ashore in company, however good, does not warrant paragraphs of text. Suffice it to say we had a super day, the weather was glorious and we spent a good part of the day doing assorted jobs in Rosemary's extensive gardens. Of course we did have our breaks, enjoying lunch out in the sun, 2 days in a row!

Highlight of the day was the arrival of Elaine Skeffington. Elaine had been on holiday walking in the Scilly Isles and was joining us for a week's cruise, when we hoped to end up in St Katherine's Dock in the Thames, so that she could catch a train home from there. Unfortunately, Elaine had suffered a fall the previous day and had a suspected broken collar bone, so we anticipated her arrival with some trepidation, concerned that she might not be able to join us. However, when we saw her smiling and strolling down the train platform in Billericay, with her arm in a sling but not being nursed there, we felt more optimistic that she would be OK. So much so that the plan to take her straight to A&E was put on hold, a couple of G&T's  and some red wine would see her right, we all thought, Elaine included!
