Totally landed on my feet here, with such an amazing homestay and school.

I have to say, I was quite anxious about the homestay as it really is potluck, and when I found out my host family was Rosa aged 70 + cat, I thought it might be rather dull.. ..ha ha - how wrong could I have been?!

The apartment is in Palermo, one of the nicer neighbourhoods in Buenos Aires and really well connected for transport, shops and all the amenities one could want on the doors step incuding a chinese laundry and knife shop! I have a big double room with ac and tv. I have the best host mother, Rosa, with a gorgeous cat (not quite as gorgeous as Pudding, but close), she looks after me so well and even has a laptop with broadband, I mean how cool?!!

When Rosa is not trying to marry me off to any eligible bachelor in sight, she´s a pretty damn good cook and most of all absolutely hilarious .. I think she definitely needs a wider audience and maybe her own chat show. She honestly has me in stitches most days.

School is about 20 mins away by bus in Recoleta - the most desirable area in Buenos Aires and home of the famous cemetary where Evita is buried.

The school is very well organised with lots of extra curricular activities such as cooking classes, Tango, and conversation club... today was all about Che Guevara. Staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful and my teacher Juliana is fantastic.

If I didn´t have Dan and Eva´s wedding to go to, I would definitely stick around for longer. I love this place.
