Touched down at Ezeiza international airport around 11am, took a couple of hours to get through passport control and collect baggage, couldn't help noticing the numerous safety hazards on the way, though repeating to myself "YOU'RE NOT AT WORK ANYMORE!!!!" 

The 30 odd degrees hit me pretty quickly and any ideas of bussing it into the city centre quickly dissipated.  The airportis lies 35 Km outside of Buenos Aires City Centre or 47 Km according to Miguel my taxi driver who also thought he'd inflate standard fare of $AR40 to   AR$175. We settled on AR$50 after a heated argument and copious amounts of arm waving... I found a hostel, showered and hit the town.
