So I am now all settled into my new place, which is so appropriately named "Casa de la Gringa" (roughly translated into House of the white girl). I have my very own shower, that is not electric, and I have wireless internet so I dont have to use the slow computers at the cafes, and hopefully now I can upload more pictures.

Classes are going great, the school of Fairplay is extremely well organized. On Wednesday night I did a cooking class that was a lot of fun. We made Papa Rellenas, which is sort of like a stuffed potato (see photos). It was also a great way to meet people, and there are actually a few solo female travelers I have met through the school.

I am now feeling more settled, and much more safe. My new neighborhood is very cute and has a lot of little art gallerys, jewelry shops, and restaurants.

The weather is still great, about 70 and sunny most of the days and rainy at night.

I think I have decided on a volunteer position as well. The director of my Spanish school is planning to open a Wawawasi (which is basically like a preschool/daycare) and I am planning on working to design a detailed  day by day curriculum for it. This is not what I had planned on doing originally, I assumed I would be working hands on with children. However, I actually really like the idea that what I will be doing is more sustainable, and will likely last long after I leave.

Today I went to another market with my teacher and saw some of the beautiful things that the locals make; its a lot of products made from alpaca and baby alpaca, which is very soft. Gloves, hats, socks, scarfs, etc. There are also lots of beautiful paintings and silver jewelry.

I think thats all for now, check for pictures also.
