The Baltic Sea Trip (4-6 Aug)

As I have been really crap with updating this blog in the past couple of weeks (using "I don't have the pictures yet" as a bad excuse), this is going to be a super short entry, considering it was a very eventful weekend!

Basic plot - having pizza in the park one Monday afternoon after work, Jennie asks if anyone is up for a road trip to north of Germany (close to Lübeck) and the Baltic sea for the weekend. I was instantly up for it, but would have been happier if Amit wanted to come too. He didn't though and in the end it was Jennie, Sharon (Asian/Canadian MBA intern), Bonnie and me renting a car.

Jennie organised everything from maps to booking the car and the most important thing - preparing us for the worst case scenario! She basically told us we were going to a farmhouse, the weather is going to be really bad (rain, cold etc) and we will most likely sleep on the floor somewhere. Why were we going, you might be thinking? Well, I think we all had our individual reasons for wanting to go ;) but officially it was the birthday of Daniel's (Jennies b.friend) good friend! So we were going there without knowing anyone, but Daniel!

Trip there was awesome, I love the German highway - NO LIMIT! So cool, took me a while to actually go above 240 (which is where, if caught, you lose your license in Sweden) but once I finally relaxed it was great.... I miss my car! Bonnie and me were driving, I must give him credit for being the most patient and calm co-driver I have ever seen! Even when I was being my usual silly me (driving really weird, keeping not using the mirrors but instead turn around to look, missing exits, taking the wrong exits... only to mention a few things! :) ), he kept it cool on the surface, and even despite all the other external factors that day!

So we finally get there, with surprisingly little delay, the house is amazing, the people are really nice (all Germans), we have a whole room and a double bed to ourselves! A nice shower... The house has a fantastic back garden with even a little lake... As we arrive when it's dark and we are actually far away from a city centre you can see SOOO many stars! It's been a really long time since I saw so many stars and since that second I knew it was going to be a good weekend.

The weekend was full of activities, but yet so relaxing! Felt weird being so close to home, but still so out of reach. Was nice to be by the sea again though. Maha, you know how I collect things/situations/people that I want to be part of my life... [Certain experiences are so perfect that I know it is something that I want to be part of my future life...collecting these experiences/places/people ect in a mental box and one day it will all form the Perfect Life]
Well the back garden of this house was an amazing inspiration and it is one of the few things that is now stored in my mental box! There are some pictures but none of them make it any justice!

Will let the pictures speak for the rest of the weekend.
