Saquarema,  2hours North of Rio, surfers paradise, it was a little dull but nothing compared to what was to come.............it rained and rained and rained for 36hours solid, we only had 3 days there, we would have stayed longer but a volley ball championship was coming to town so there was no more rooms available. The day we left it was a scorcher!
We braved the rain with our gorgeous rain ponchos, (spot the 2 foreigners!) but it kept us dry and we had to see the place before we left.
If we thought the waves were huge in Rio we were wrong, these waves were just absolutely massive, too dangerous to swim so we gave it a miss but we wanted to, watching the surfers was just no fun!
