Flag of Malawi  , Lilongwe,
Wednesday, September 8, 2010

7:00am we head off to Lilongwe to a camp called Mabuya. Lilongwe - pretty much your standard African town. Shops, restaurants, vendors the usual. Mabuya camp is pretty cool, its well located and it has a pool, which is major bonus in the heat. As it's the last night for Irish & Emma it turns out to be a massive night. Unfortunately Ash is a little ill and misses out on it. After a load of drinks at the campsite we decide to head to a bar called the shack. We get there the place is packed full of tourists and locals, there are people playing volleyball under spotlights and the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. After a bit of dancing and socialising with some zimbos who now live in Malawi, who walks through the door? Andrew, who I last saw at Normans wedding almost 3 years ago in Milton Keynes. It was awesome to see the guy we had loads more drinks and Andrew kindly taxied us 7 tourists in his car, 2 packed into the boot T.I.A

We went to the only other hotspot on a Wednesday. It was full of prostitutes (male & female) a little weird but we had a pretty goodtime throwing some shapes on the dance floor. Andrew then dropped us back at camp at around 3:00a.m, Leah who was from Canada, much to Andrews’s amusement was freaking out about his driving.

We came screaming into camp with beats blurring. We spotted other chaps trying to get the bar open so we joined them without success trying to force the poor barman to open shop.

4:00am went to sleep
