After a grueling 16 hour plane ride from Atlanta, a short layover in Minneapolis, then across the world to Tokyo, I was about to PASS OUT! This was my first time ever being abroad and by far my longest plane ride. After arriving at my hotel, I zonked out for about 16 hours without eating dinner. And if anyone knows me, I love to eat!

My biggest surprises- squattie potties- toilets that are part of the floor for women! You don't sit on these toilets- you just squat and hope your aim is good. I still have yet to master the squattie Potty.

Talking and heated toilets.  I had never seen so many functions on a toilet- from bidet, to heater, to a special flushing sound. The fanciest thing in waste disposal in the eastern and western hemispheres!

Day 2 was orientation. I finally had built up enough energy to explore Tokyo.  As you can see they have their own take on Western cuisine including Midori and milk as a cocktail  and minature chicken wings(well I hoped it was chicken). But the technology and talking buildings surrounding me was amazing. It was everything I always thought Tokyo would be!
