I'm just doing a short blog entry today because it is our last full day in San Juan ! We just said good bye to Bob and Trudy Duke from Texas. They were picked up by Iskra Travel a few minutes ago, and are on their way home.Bob and Trudy enjoyed 5 fun filled weeks with us at the Park Avenue Villa's, and we all had a great time together with Ralph and Renda on the Corn Islands. It was a pleasure meeting you both, hope we see you next year!

Saying goodbye to Bob and Trudy in front of the Park Avenue Villa's.

Last night to celebrate Bob and Trudy's final outing in SJdS we all went to their favorite restaurant in the center of town called eLBEEstro. This place has been open for a few months now and has become very popular, as one of the most "trendy" in town. The owner and chef LB,used to be the head chef at Pelican Eye's, but has since left and opened this great little spot across from the Catholic church.

Outside eLBEEstro..............

Very nicely decorated and furnished inside eLBEEstro

I ordered the slider's, and they were excellent!!

Ross and I have seen a lot of people come and go over the last 3 months. It has become almost a tradition now to post a picture of our "departing guests" last sunset from the Park Avenue balcony. So enjoy...............tonight will be our last sunset...........:-(
The next time you see a post from me, it will be from San Francisco. I'm feeling very emotional right now, and almost at a loss for words, so I will bid a "fond farewell" to this wonderful town of San Juan del Sur, and to my gracious hosts Ralph and Renda Hewitt. You are truly the best two people on the planet!! We love you, and will miss you. Until next year............Adios !!

Wow. I am getting all teary eyed here too Deed, just reading your "last" post, cuz at times I have almost felt like I was right there beside you, your descriptions and attention to detail have been THAT good - you really should consider a career as a travel writer in your next life I think! Anyway looking forward to hearing what you make of SF as its been a while since your last visitation there, and will see you back in Canuck-land next week. Safe travels!

I know!! I'm almost "bawling" I'm so not ready to leave!! Thanks so much to you too, for your "continued support", and your lively comments! Yes, I have had a few people tell me I should look into travel writing as a career, however I do it because I want to, not because I have to!! Looking forward to San Francisco too, it has been decades!! See you soon :-) XOX

I will miss your blog and I enjoyed meeting you in SJdS. I hope we meet again. Life is always taking turns but I hope our paths converge next year at the same time.

I too will miss your enthusiastic blogs. You greatly enhanced my knowledge of the SJDS area and other parts of Nica. Going there in Oct. Thank you!

You two folks have helped Renda and I make www.parkavenuevillas.com Hotel a home away from the stress & excess of "the other life".
You are one of the Best Ambassadors of San Juan del Sur & Nicaragua.
Please keep doing your blog at least once a week where ever you are.
We will miss you MUCH and await your return to have fun and enjoy what others only dream about.
