Our 6 week adventure is drawing to a close soon, and with just a couple days left I thought I would make today's post about some things that have interested my man Ross while we have been here.
It took over 5 weeks for us to discover the local barber shop.It shop is located kitty corner to the Sherwin Williams Paint store

One thing we have both found is that your hair grows faster here,so Ross found himself in need of a haircut. He was a little apprehensive in the beginning, and decided on a shave first.

Once he had experienced 'the shave of a lifetime", he opted for the haircut.Prior to today I had been cutting Ross's hair, and he has always been quite pleased with my effort, however the haircut he received from Brendan at the SJdS barber shop far exceeded anything I had done in the last couple years. Seriously, this young man has got so much talent, and an eye for detail like I have never seen.Ross spent a total of almost an hour in the chair with a straight razor shave(smooth as a babies bottom!) and a haircut. The total cost for this service was 100 cordoba, or $5.00 U.S.

Also the Azul Spa and Beauty is a great spot for just about anything you need. Last week both of us popped in Ross had the MANicure, and I got a pedicure. They are unisex ,so both men and ladies haircuts.

Another great spot for a relaxing pedicure, is Ross,s personal pedicurist Veronica. She comes right here to the Park Avenue Villa's, and for 100 cordoba she will pamper you tootsies like you have never had before! Ross has had a few since we've been here.Does he look relaxed or what???

Another of Ross's favourite pastimes,is the Iguana bar on the beach. It's a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.Good thing about Nicaragua, nobody cares if you have an ice cold cerveza instead of oj for breakfast.Look at Ross he,loves the Tona!!

Yup, that's right, beer! I personally can't drink it til later in the day. When you are really hot, it is most refreshing. The beer in Nicaragua is very good, not like our Canadian swill!

I don't know how anyone can drink Canadian beer, mom. That's why you stick with the King. of Beers! LOL
