Over the past 5 weeks Ross and I have met a lot of great people. One of our favourite couples Clay and Kim are leaving today.

It is hard to believe where the last 10 days have gone, and we only have a little over a week until we also have to pack up and say good bye. It will not be easy to do, and I feel my eyes well up with tears just thinking about it, so best to not dwell on that.On a very positive note, one of our friends from Vancouver, a young lady named Catherine, has arrived here in San Juan del Sur, and we have invited her to stay with us until she continues her journey to Costa Rica.Catherine left Van. in early January, and has been travelling in Guatemala, and she will be staying in Central America for another month.
Lastnight we had another group dinner party on the balcony,we had a larger group than last time.I think about 20 people all together.

We were well prepared this time with lots of chicken and seafood.Again everyone pitched in with salads and side dishes. It was a wonderful evening with one of the prettiest sunsets I have ever seen.Turned out to be the perfect "send off' for our new friends from Chicago.

Well, if you are having such a great time - why do you need to come home then? Why not just stay on for another month or two or whatever? Hmmm. You are both more or less "retired" and living the viva loca so to speak, so what the Hey! Just do it!!! On another note, la familia is gathering for Dim Sum this Sunday (Glen and Slurp are in town) if Megan wants to go its gonna be at Floata around 11:30 I think.....

Awe, Floata would be great but I already have brunch plans for Sunday...booooo....

And I don't know if you should encourage Mom to stay down there, she's flighty like me, she must just listen to you!!

It looks beautiful down there, I wish I could see it....but I'm counting down the days until you come back lol...xoxox

Well as tempting as it sounds,we must return on the 15th.Ross has several things lined up already,so no chance of staying any longer. As much as we do love it here, will be nice to see everyone back home :-)

got alot to say - should i say it here??? got home safe and sound. loved your blog and will forward it to our friends and family. clay got an email from izaak (already?!) and he wants to move to where we bought property! oh dear!!!
speaking of our property, our driver picked up a young man, 17 years old, to take to the airport with us. clay starts talking to him about his stay at SJDS and finds out that his father bought a lot on our development 4 years ago (a neighbor). they have been coming down to SJDS often and the son, Sam, loves it. his dad, charles, wants to shuck everything and move down there! what a small world.
take care and be well. don't have too much fun without us!

Sounds like you guys had one great vacation. Would love to do a trip like that. Steve would not stay that long. He would miss his show Frazier. lol. I would love to go to a place like that that is not filled to the brim with tourists. It is always fun to meet new people. Thanks for posting your trip.

Hi Sandy,
Thanks for your comment. We still have a week to go with lots more to do and see. The TV here in Nicaragua is better than at home, so don't let that stand in your way! This place has tons of things to do, or you can just kick back and do nothing! We have travelled all over, and this is the best holiday ever!!!
