I took this photo of Ralph sailing by from the balcony at Park Avenue Villa's.
We will leave this morning about 10:00 am,sail up the coast to a secluded white sand beach, anchor and do some swimming and beach combing. Not sure ,but may also sail south to check out the coast of Costa Rica, since it is only about 15 miles from here. All procedes guests pay to sail with Ralph go to the Sea Scouts program he has started for several young Nica men. It is a very worthwhile cause, and the boys really love to sail..
We will return around 5:30 pm, so I am sure I will have tons of great shots, til then.......
Back from a wonderful day sailing with Ralph and his crew of Sea Scouts.
Myself and two other guests enjoyed a fabulous day on the water. The wind was just right and it was a picture perfect day. We headed out an went North up the coast to have a look at all the popula beaches. There are many close to the town of SJdS. Most are quite easily reached by water taxi,as driving the roads may take longer. The first beach just past the bay of SJdS is playa Marcella, then playa Maderas, and Majagual. We also pulled into a very secluded little cove, to a beach called playa blanco, with very warm ,clear water, the beach was very fine white sand. We stayed there for a couple hours to swim and beachcomb, then set sail for the south coast to Costa Rica. It was a day I will not soon forget! I did get a wee bit too much sun, so of to a cool shower and bed.
Back again tomorrow.......................
Added a few more pictures, and made some corrections.Lastnight when I loaded my photo's I did mix up some of the beaches, I think I have them correct now, but if you see a mistake, please let me know.
