The good news is that yesterday was Ross's birthday, and we had his birthday dinner here at the Park Avenue Villa's.Now for those of you following my blog who have actually stayed here with Ralph and Renda you know that this is the ideal place for parties of all kinds. Ralph and Renda are such gracious hosts, and their staff are like family. It made our entire evening spectacular. We had a mixed grill on the bbq, with some chicken, dorado,& humungous shrimp, I know because it took me over an hour to clean the buggers! Everyone else pitched in with salads and side dishes, and the best part was Ross's bday cake, which was made by one of Ralph and Renda's friends.Ross said it will definately be a birthday to remember!

Iknow I don't need to say it but.........CANADA ROCKS!!
Although we left our host city just as the Olympics were starting, we have followed them on tv everyday while we have been here in Nicaragua. Watching the gold medal hockey game, and seeing our own team Canada win was a very emotional experience, and we have such a wonderful sense of pride for our entire Olympic team. This will certainly be another highlight of our trip.
This morning we were all geared up for a day of sailing aboard No Bad Day's (Park Ave. sailboat)
however the wind is gusting up to 32 km, and lots of white caps, so Ralph has postponed the trip for another day.On the up side ( there alway's is one!) We have 2 cruise ships in the harbor this morning, and 1 is a P & O liner with over 2000 people, so that means all the artisans are here again selling there goods at the main dock.I'm headed down to see what else I can find.........
Correction: had the wrong dates for the P & O ship, comes in on Wed morning,so no shopping today.May just have a quiet day and rest up after the busy day yesterday.
