In answer to my friends' request, I am creating this blog for my trip to Ireland! I will try to let you know what's going on. If I forget that I created this blog, please harass me! (by sending tons of e-mails so I give you updates)
The trip: For those who don't know it yet, I felt like travelling when I discovered the SWAP program (which gives to young people the opportunity of obtaining a visa in different countries for up to a year). I chose Ireland because from all the countries listed, it was the one that interested me the most without being extremely expensive or complicated. Tada!

6h25 (1h25 au Canada): arrivée à l'aéroport de Londres pour une escale...
9h10: départ de Londres
10h30: ARRIVÉE À DUBLIN, IRLANDE!!!
Oh yeah!!! Je crois que je vais déjà être morte loll. Une fois à l'hôtel, je vais faire une petite sieste (bon, bon, je l'avoue, je vais sûrement aller manger avant!), puis je crois que je vais aller visiter le Dublin Writers' Museum. Je vais être au Kinlay's House et je vais pouvoir vous envoyer un courriel parce que l'Internet est gratuit dans cette auberge!

Oh yeah!!! I think I'll already be dead, lol. At the hostel, I take a little nap (ok, fine, I admit it, I'll surely go eat first!), then I think I'll go visit the Dublin Writers' Museum. I'll be at the Kinlay's House and I'll be able to send you an e-mail because Internet is free at this hostel!
Mercredi 2 mai/Wednesday, 2th May
J'ai une "formation" au centre USIT à Dublin, je vais apprendre comment faire mes relevés de taxes et comment ouvrir un compte de banque, etc.

Tada! Je prends l'autobus à Dublin à 10h, j'arrive à Cork à 14h25 et je n'aurai malheureusement pas le temps de visiter parce que je prends un autre autobus à 15h15 pour finalement arriver à White Gate à 16h25, où un char va venir me chercher pour m'amener à mon lieu de travail! Woot! Sounds fun!

Tada! I take the bus in Dublin at 10a.m., arrive in Cork at 2:25p.m. and unfortunately won't have time to visit since I'm taking another bus at 3:15 to finally arrive at White Gate at 4:25, where a car will come pick me up to bring me to my work place! Woot! Sounds fun!
Mon hébergement/Accommodation
Sur le lieu de mon travail, je vais avoir une chambre que je vais "probably have to share with another girl" comme a dit ma patronne. Je vais aussi avoir accès à une salle de bain et une cuisine partagées... Il n'y a pas d'accès à Internet "on site", mais dans le village le plus près, Midleton, il y a plein de cafés Internet! Alors quand j'irai faire un tour au village, je vous mettrai au courant de ce qui se passe chez moi. Par ailleurs, quand je vais voyager, Internet va sûrement être plus facile d'accès. Y'a beaucoup d'auberges jeunesses qui offrent gratuitement l'accès à Internet!
J'ai demandé à ma patronne - eh oui, j'ai osé faire ça! - s'ils savaient s'il y avait un piano tout près pour que je puisse pratiquer. Elle a répondu: "I have asked a few people here about access to a piano and I don't know of any around. We don't have one on site but maybe in the local village there may be one?" Bref, je crois que je vais laisser mes livres de piano ici...

At my work, I will have a room that I will "probably have to share with another girl", like my supervisor said. I will also have access to a share bathroom and kitchen... There is no Internet access on site, but in the closest village, Midleton, there are lots of Internet cafés! So when I'll go to the village, I'll give you some updates about life in Ireland. When I'll be travelling, access to Internet should be easier. A lot of youth hostels offer free Internet!
I asked my supervisor - yep, I dared! - if they had a piano nearby so I could practiced. She said she asked a few people about access to a piano and doesn't know of any around. "We don't have one on site but maybe in the local village there may be one?" Conclusion: I think I'll leave my piano books here...
Alors voilà! Beaucoup d'infos en même temps loll. Eh puis si vous n'avez pas lu tout ça, ce n'est pas grave parce que, pour la plupart, je vais sûrement vous voir samedi au St-Hub!

Je suis vraiment triste de manquer ton souper de au revoir, mais 'ce n'est qu'un au revoir' et j'ai bien hâte d'entendre tes histoires de voyage. N'oublie pas ta caméra et ton passeport !
