On Saturday night we went for a lovely meal in a seafood restaurant that was recommended in the Lonely Planet, and I swear it looked easy to find on the map. Now I know this is hilarious to anyone I have ever tried to give directions to or who has experienced me reading a map, but I have turned out to be very good at reading the map of Hanoi and finding the way around. Except of course this time. We found it eventually....stopped off in a phone shop on the way after my phone got a virus or something where I got a basic phone sim free for $65. The man in the shop couldn't actually speak English but we managed to get a phone and directions to the restaurant so we did well! There were traffic lights in this part of town so we very happily trotted across the road at the green man only to nearly get mown down. Apparently the traffic lights don't apply to the bikes!
Home to bed early cos we had to get up at the crack of dawn (again)to go to Halong Bay.
