So, imagine my delight today as I receive a phone call while on the train to Fremantle... a job has come up for me!
I'm actually in the offices of ICP right now, waiting for the guy to call back. Its basically in the middle of nowhere- Sandstone, WA. A google reveals this:

"The town was the inspiration for the mining town in Randolph Stow's novel Tourmaline which Stow described as 'rust-red roofs, the skeletal obelisks of headless windmills...It is not a ghost town. It simply lies in a coma. This may never end.' "

A surefire way not to spend any money! Its good pay, and includes food and accomodation. The Aussie experience I have been waiting for since I started researching my trip two years ago!

To make my day even better, the food stall where I had lunch at the Freo markets stocked A&W Root Beer! A total luxury; Root Beer does not exist down under and it had been imported! Those clever business people.

Basically I think I can start whenever I am ready, I've paid for the hostel until Tuesday so we'll see how the bus schedule coincides. I'm really looking forward to it, it will be cool to get bar experience as well, useful if I am desperate for a job when I get back home!
