Well, its basically just been raining the past week. I guess thats winter for you. its really impeding trying to do anything. Luckily, the one day it hasn't rained was Saturday. I joined up with the IEP social event group for a trip to the AFL footy game... figured I'd see Sydney play finally! They lost of course, but it was fun to get out anyways.

I am currently strugging to come to decisions regarding my Asia trip. I actually picked up a copy of the lonely planet (not bought though... having a hard time coping with the thought of forking over $43 for something I coulda paid nearly half that in the states... of course I didn't know i was going then but whatevs). Anyways, doing it on your own would equate being 1/3-1/2 the price of the organized tour. Since I already put down a deposit, I'm considering just putting it towards a smaller trip, meeting some people, and then off on my own to save probs at least $1000 CDN. (Basically my flight home). The guidebook says the same for basically every country in regards to women travellers, its safe as long as you don't go out alone at night to bars etc, and you might get a few stares etc. Considering I never go to a bar alone anyways, I'd pretty much be all good. The problem lies with deciding which trip to actually do that wouldn't result in a wonky itinerary.

Tomorrow I FINALLY fly to Darwin. I've literally been counting down the whole time. Might end up going to Tasmania with Ashlee as well in the New Years, before coming home. (provided we don't want to strangle each other by the end of THIS trip! :P)

That is my life updated. I'm hoping the West Coast will bring me good weather and adventures!
