A few things to actually write about this time! Hence taking so long... I've been saving it up!

The Scottish gals who are my East Coast travel buddies finally arrived. We went out for dinner Sunday evening and got all caught up. Gill has gone on to Syndey to spend a few days with her bf, who is visiting for two weeks, and I've been spending time with Anita, and we are catching the Saturday overnighter Greyhound to meet up in Sydney. A few days there, and the explorations will really begin!

Monday... got my hair done! It is bright copper red with some dark brown lowlights, cut is very similar as I'm growing it for Kristy's wedding. Its awesome!! But I can't get photos up on this computer, so they are still to come.

Tuesday... went to the Old Melbourne Gaol (Prison) and did the watchtower tour, which they "show you what its like to be arrested and detained" etc etc. Then had a wander through the prison museum, saw a bunch of creepy death masks (after a hanging, they would take a plaster of the head to study whatever it is when you study the contours etc of the head in indication to personality). We also saw some armour from the Ned Kelly gang, and Ned Kelly's death mask. (Ned Kelly is the most notorious Australian outlaw!).

Wednesday... one of my roomies, Sarah, and her visiting friends/sister from Ireland, rented a van and drove the great ocean road, culmination with the 12 apostles rock formation. We saw heaps of cute little seaside towns, good beaches, Split Point lighthouse, and saw the Erskine waterfalls. It was all so gorgeous! We had fantastic weather, not a cloud in the sky. And my camera battery decided to die!! It was an awesome day, albiet a long, somewhat uncomfortable one!!

Thursday... Anita and I took the tram into the city, where we wandered arond the free exhibitions the State Library has. We saw the armour that was Ned Kelly's (the ones at the gaol are from other gang members), and a bunch of other cool stuff showing Victoria/Melb as it was back in the day.

Also, we finally booked our greyhound ticket, which will take us right up to Cairns. So that is one thing sorted anyways! I've heard so-so things about the OzExperience, so we decided against it.

Well.. that is it in a nutshell! I know I've been really bad updating, so hopefully now that we'll be doing more exciting things, I'll be able to update with more interesting stories more often!!
