Well, I am happy to report I am able to walk without lurching anymore.
After Franz Josef, it was time to head into Wanaka. Along the way, we stopped in Fox Glacier to see some views of Lake Matheson- mirror views that is. I dragged my shattered boday on a half hour walk- and I must say, I got some gorgeous photos! In Wanaka, we decided on another chilled out night- some fish and chips, and Grey's Anatomy!
In the morning, we stopped at Puzzling World to partake in the Great Maze and Illusion Rooms. let me say, that maze is a lot more difficult than it looks! You have to find the four coloured corners, and then the exit. Well, after 50 mins (average is 30m- 1hr) I gave up after finding the colours but not the exit. I needed time in the illusion rooms! Which were quite awesome as well. They have this balance room- the floor is on an angle, and everything else is on a diff angle- you seriously feel the most drunk you've ever been!
Upon arrival in Qtown, we stopped at the Kawarau Bungy Bridge to watch a secrets iof bungy video and see a few people chucked off. It wactually didn't look as bad as it seemed! Then, being Paddy's Day, once checked in, headed out for a pint and a meal. The World Bar is very cool!
Other than that I have just been chilling out here. i was supposed to leave on the Bottom Bus today, but somebody somewhere screwed up so I'm stuck here til Sunday. On the plus side, after another payday passing by without my holiday pay, I just emailed payroll myself and lo and behold, got my money today. So now I'm decided what to spend it on! I'm thinking the Rugby match Satuday, they have a package that includes beer, sausage, a horizontal bungy (I think thats the one where they strap you in a capsule like thing that just gets flung up and down), a shirt, face-painting, etc. I'm trying to convince my current travel partner that she can pay off her debts when she gets home!
On a positive note, I have completely changed my Aussie travel plans. How is that positive you ask? I now have some travel buddies! The two girls I met/chilled with in kaikoura get there two weeks after me into melb, and are there for 2 weeks as well. So i'm going to try and work for that month, then we will head up the east coast together, just on the greyhound. (I've heard mized reports regarding the Oz Experience!) Yay!
