A little bit of excitement in the hostel on Saturday night.

We had a party again for Helena, this one involving a "police officer" in the form of a stripper. It was actually really funny and we all had a good laugh. Helena had no clue and was totally surpised/embarrassed but it was good fun. When everyone headed out, I decided to stay in due to the foot injury, and ended up having my first proper conversation with the one roomate. I can't recall what time exactly, but it was late (between 1:30-2ish I would say) when the alarm started going off. We all kind of sat there dumbly for a minute, until the security guard came through and started telling us all to evacuate. I was really panicked, until I started walking down the stairs, and the lower few levels were actually hazy, and you couldn't breathe properly. 8 fire trucks and some Burger King later, we were allowed back in and told that it was because some morons had set off the fire extinguisher in the main floor. Unfortunetely the hostel was full of groups thispast weekend, including a rowdy bunch of men fora 40th party, a stag party, and a few sports teams. Stu'd jacket even got stolen where he left it on a chair in the kitchen. That would never happen during the week when just the long-termers are present! People these days.

The foot actually was quite swollen, more then usual, on Sat. night. I have decided to finish work early. I may decide to work a few days at the end of this week, but then I will pack it in. Its just not worth it to prolong or worsen the healing, just for Subway!
