So, another week has passed. I have finally made it to a real cybercafe in order to put people photos on facebook! I'll add a few here. Keep in mind the photo of the hostel room is before my newest roomate came, who somehow has 2 big packs, 2 little packs, and a few other means of carrying WAY too much stuff.

The play we saw on Sunday evening turned out to be "The Importance of Being Earnest". It was fantastic. A definite bargain for $5, they easily could have gotten $10! Haha, I guess acting classes aren't really in it for the profit. Then we went to a Welsh pub afterwards, which is a really cool place. It used to be a public toilet, so it is a long narrow building that is actually in the middle of two one-way streets that are beside each other. This turned into a long night of pool playing, and I suprised myself by making contact between the pool cue and the white ball every time! Trust me, considering the last time I played, this is impressive. Highlights were Stu potting the 8-ball on the break, which is an instant win which rarely happens!

On Monday, post-nap after work, I woke up with a swollen foot. It is still swollen, basically I have no ankle on the left side. I have decided if it doesn't resolve by Monday, I'm going to go see a physio or something. It doesn't help the situation that I slippe din the fridge at work today and turned it a little bit. However, NZ has "ACC" which is some type of insurance thing that covers injuries related to accidents. Maybe the fridge incident can be put to use, I just wish my foot didn't hurt!

We had a birthday party on Tuesday for helena, a long-termer. She turned 30, however a real celebration is going to happen tonight. I'm still not sure if I'll actually go out out, considering the foot and all!

I finally took my turn at cooking. I had planned chicken parm meatball subs (I've made the meatsballs for a potluck before at home) however when I saw the price of "mince" (as they call it here) chicken, I quickly revised the meal plan. I ended up making chicken ceasar pitas with mexican rice, and nobody got food poisoning! (ok, I'm not THAT bad!) but I actually garnered a few compliments on the salad. (seriously... the things that become interesting enough to write about when you don't go anywhere!)
