Hello all again!
Well, I am finally rested and I seem to be on New Zealand time.
I have bought a SIM card, so my cell is set up. However, I am having problems registering online to get another $10 credit. Well, that is a problem for another day!
Today I met up with one of the girls who was in orientation, a fellow Canadian, and then later on another girl. We did a self-guided "historical" tour of downtown, however to them that means buildings from the early 1900s. Not so historical. We also went to a little market, and did some browsing.
We decided that we are going to do a hop on, hop off city tour tomorrow, for $30. Then we can hit up the museum along the way which should be one of the more interesting things int he city
I am in a 6-bed dorm, yesterday there were 2 German girls who were with SWAP, but the have moved on. As of the afternoon, I had no new roomies but perhaps some will have arrived by now. Tomorrow I heading to a different hostel with Kayla (the Canadian) so hopefully it will have a friendly atmosphere and easy to meet people. I think I just need to start smiling more!
After the two tours, I haven't decided where yet, but i want to get out of the city and maybe do a small, few-day long tour, perhaps to Bay of Islands of else east cape, or waitamo caves. I will probably decide on Monday, when the IEP offices open, so I can speak to their travel guy.
Well, not much interesting aside from that (which isn't that interesting either) so thats it for now!
XOXO

A harbour lamppost
. The problem is, since we are downtown, that it def has a city feel, which is not my thing. On Monday, we are going to do a free city tour with one of the backpacker bus companies, which will take us out of the downtown core, and hopefully into a lotnice area. This will include the harbour bridge, and Mt Eden, which is where One Tree Hill (something to do with U2). SMILE...
Glad to hear to met up with someone. Makes it a little easier not feeling so quite alone.
After all, you are there for a while.
Yes, I agree with the smile.
You have a gorgeous smile, which makes you much more approachable.
I love you...
Take care..
