Today we had a free day. We were given an unlimited day pass for the bus, so after breakfast and a little bit of a sleep in, a few of us headed out. The day was slow going- Paul had injured his leg and could only limp. I introduced him to the wonders of Canadian Advil. He loved it!

We took the bus to the big park, supposedly full of amazing things to do. Well, we walked in circles and could not find any of them. So we found our way back out to the bus stop, and quickly grabbed some pastry bars before taking the bus into the city. We checked out the Cathedral (St. Stephen's #2!), then onwards to the Parliaments. The next English tour was an hour away so we decided to have lunch. Here is some advice I hope you take to heart. If you are on a time limit, do not eat at a restaurant in Europe. Service takes absolutely FOREVER.

So we missed the tour. We headed down some streets to shop for souveniers, and bumped into some others from our group. It was collectively decided to call it a day, but Sheila, Dan and I weren't ready quite yet. First, we tried the Jewish synagogue- largest in Europe. It was closed. Then, we headed back to the Parliaments for a tour, as Sheila's guidebook and the sign outside said it was at 6pm. Well, we got there at 5:50, and it had left at 5:45, and they would not allow us to run and catch up. The train station was also closed so we had to wait forever for a bus back.. I think I fell asleep on the bus ride.

At night, it was decided to head out to an outdoor bar called inside. A group of us got there first, but weren't totally digging it so headed back to Rio. More people from our tour were there, and yet another good night was had.

(I stuck the next days photos in here by accident and it is too much of a pain to upload them all over again! so some of the photos are Poland too)
