Here we go again.. I just wrote a huge report and the bloodly computer lost it... they are the most frustrating things sometimes.

Alacante is a beautiful large beachside city. We stayed in the San Juan region which is undergoing massive development. This region is also famous for its stone, granite, quartz etc.

We enjoyed time on the beach, Stewart managed to get a little colour on his torso, he would say at last!

The town was very quiet and we couldn't find any evidence of any shops at all until on the way back to our hotel, a little disillusioned, we were pleasantly surprised to stumble across a huge shopping, market, restaurant area. This was at 9.00pm, the place doesn't start to wake up until then, which is why we hadn't seen it earlier. We had a lovely and cheap Spanish slash Portugeuse meal at 10.30pm, luckily we were early and grabbed a table as it turned out to be a very popular little place for the locals.

Unfortunately we headed to Valencia the next day, I would have loved to spent the day relaxing on the beach.
